USA’s Mint Mobile is giving free talk-times instead of advertising

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is gifting free mobile phone connections to the users in USA. He is promoting his newly acquired business- Mint Mobile. He is known for choosing unconventional ways to promote his businesses.
Instead of spending money on upcoming Super Bowl ads (average ad costs INR 35cr) Mint Mobile is offering three months free on the 3GB plan, no strings attached. Mint Mobile offers prepaid plans. Mint Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator, as it operates on T Mobile’s network. It is similar to Tata Docomo and Vrigin Mobile of India. Earlier Aviation Gin had used the bad publicity of Peleton Bikes to advertise its brand.
Ryan says, “I love ads. Except when they cost 5 million dollars for 30 seconds of airtime. Mint Mobile is premium wireless for an almost suspiciously great price. So instead of creating a pricey ad trying to convince people to try Mint, we’re going to let them try it for free.”
