In FY4 Dabur’s revenue was INR ₹1,264 crore. In FY 18 it was INR 7,721 crore.
In FY 4 profit was INR 106 crore. In FY18 it was INR 1,354 crore.
How did he do it?
He diversified Dabur from an Ayurvedic products company to a fast moving consumer goods company. He also rebuilt its supply chain.
It sells in 120 countries and manufactures in 8 countries.
It acquired companies in India ( Balsara), Turkey ( Hobi), and USA ( Namaste Group).
It provided quality goods to rural customers. 45% of its revenue comes from rural customers.
His biggest challenge:
Patanjali was his biggest challenge. He faced it and came out winner.
