Food brands like KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco bell are based in Delhi. The leader of artisinal movement in India, Fabindia is from Delhi.
18th Most Effective Economy
As per Brookings research Delhi has the highest GDP and growth rate of employment. Bombay ( 52) and Bangalore (57th) are distant cousin. Chennai comes at 76th.
It will be an economic power house. Mckinsey Global Institute predicts it will be in the top 75 global dynamic cities of the world ( Rank 39 ).
Future: Bigger Than NYC/ Tokyo
It’s National Capital Region, a super urban agglomeration. It comprises of 22 districts from UP, Rajasthan and Haryana, other than NCT Delhi. It’s combined GDP is 370 bn $.
NCR with the fifty million population has the potential to become as nig as city of New York or Tokyo, with a GDP of 1.5 Trillion $ or more.
