Focus on customers, not technology
Do you know more people are faxing than before. Faxing is more secure, easier to use and better suited to existing work habits than computer-based messaging. High tech enthusiasts think fax as an obsolete technology, like telephone and email.
As per a survey 2 out of 3 employees in 200 large firms ( with more than 500 employees) use fax. Users in 2017 were more than the users in 2016. Medical professionals still use fax, as the competing digital technologies have different standards, learning curves, and lack of security.
Alex Murrel, a marketer, writes: …the industry is not a runaway train of uncontrollable change. That our fear is misplaced. That by focussing on what might be important tomorrow, we miss out on what is important today.
The ever accelerating technological change is a myth. Food delivery pioneer Door Dash cites phones and fax as its biggest competitor. So, small businesses should not fear the technology, and focus on the core businesses.
