Swiggy has real competition in town. While Swiggy plans to branch out in delivering things other than restaurant food, Dunzo has a head start. Dunzo also plans to get into bike sharing.
Kabir Biswas, its founder is the brain behind the service. He started it with a Whatsapp group. Initially, he used to run the tasks himself. Dunzo grew through word of mouth.
While Swiggy has $ 155 million as funding, Dunzo only has $12 million. But, Google has directly bought a stake in the company. So, with the current growth, it will only invest more.
With the economy picking up, there will be more employment for the Delhi NCR region.
