Great teams hire people with their second portfolios. The first portfolio is what the companies want them to do. The second one is what employees want to do. Players in great team have lots of energy and not ego. Winning matters for the team. Who gets the credit doesn’t matter. Trick is to hire players, who do not get to do what they want to do elsewhere.

Three things matter, when hiring an employee. One, instead of common place questions, try new ways to understand the person. Two, challenge the candidate, which showcases their true selves. Three, involve existing employees as they will work with the candidate.
