Zorawar ( one of the future Forbes tycoons) Kalra is founder of Massive Restaurants. In his past life he had started two ventures with his father Jiggs Kalra. Jiggs is a famous food writer, chef and TV star.
A brief timeline of their innings:
2005: Street Foods Of India was a quick service restaurant.
2006: First they launched Punjab Grill as a QSR. Then they relaunched it as Punjab Grill by Jiggs Kalra. They had partnered with Amir Burman of Dabur.
2011: They sold their stake to Little Bite Foods.
2012: Zorawar launched Massive Restaurants. Their first brand was Masala factory, which was India’s first molecular gastronomy brand.
2013- : They have launched more brands such as Farzi Cafe (a modern, Indian bistro), Pa Pa Ya (South Asian fusion), MasalaBar (molecular cocktails and drinks) and Made In Punjab (fine-dining North Indian food).
