Isha’s passion for brewing fermented tea led to founding Bhu
Bhu Kombucha’s founder Isha Singh Sahwney started as journalist. She wrote for publications such as Caravan, Huffington Post, CNN and New York Times. She started Bhu Kombucha in 2017.
Bhu Kombucha is available in six flavours: classic, ginger, cucumber & mint, cinnamon & star anise, apple & cinnamon and turmeric & ginger. It retails in cafes such as Greenr and Big Fat Sandwich & Pizza . Stores such as Modern Bazaar and Defence Stores also sell it. Pricing starts from INR 200 and above.
Isha started brewing Kombucha as a break from fiction-writing. A team of two women help her in brewing batches of kombucha. It takes from seven days to fourteen days to ferment a batch. She writes that Kombucha energiezes guts, which is also the second brain. She is looking to expand the business by hiring product and business people.
