Branded clothes cost twice as much as unbranded clothes. Discounts range between 15% to 60%. Single brand stores such as Marks & Spencer’s are offering a flat sale of 60%. Shoe brands such as Adidas are offering discounts upto 50%. Multi brand outlets such as Lifestyle are offering discounts on various brands up to 50%.
Standardised sale events such as Monsoon sale attracts more consumers to the retail outlets. It just does not help in increasing the sales of the anchor brands, it lifts the sale of other brands in the market or malls. Delhi-NCR will benefit from this trend.
