The constitution is also a work of art.
India turns 70 year old Republic.
The makers of modern India toiled day and night to give us our 1st constitution.
While we know that B R Ambedkar was the principal architect of constitution of India, we perhaps don’t know who gave the wise words an art form.
Dr. V Vinay, a computer scientist, paid his tribute to artists:
The constitution of India is a handwritten document put together by three artists. The calligrapher Prem Behari Narain Raizada, and artists Nandalal Bose & Beohar Rammanohar Sinha.
Every part has a motif, page has its own frame, and calligraphy.
Artists drew influences from Mahabharat, Buddha, Mahavira, Natraj, Akbar, Sivaji, Guru Gobind Singh, Lakshmi bhai, Tipu Sultan and Mahatma Gandhi.
