Shreyasi Singh and Parmath Sinha have launched Harappa Education . It is an online education platform for professionals. Its will train professionals to achieve workplace skills and great careers. Establishing Trust was its first course. Their fifth course ‘Defining Problems’ will go live next week. They have listed 25 courses. When the writer applied for a course, Harappa Education had offered one course for free.
Shreyasi Singh was managing editor of Inc. India magazine. She was also the director at Vedica Scholars, which offers a 18 month management course for women. Pramath Sinha was founding dean of Indian School Of Business & founder of 9.9 Mediaworkx, Vedica Scholars and Ashoka University. Both also write a leadership column for Mint. Faculties teaching the courses are from reputed institutions such as Ashoka University, Mckinsey and Lee Kuan Yew School. Rajat Gupta, ex managing director of Mckinsey, will also be teaching.
KPMG predicted that by 2021 online education market in India will be more than INR 15,000 crores. Other players in online education market are Upgrad, Byjus, Cuemath, Unacademy and more.
