Priya Krishna writes in WSJ that her mother has transformed humble roti into a trendy bread in New York.
When her mother moved to USA, she only knew how to make Rotis. She learnt dishes from the rest of thr world. She always ate them with Roti.
She also experimented with Roti, such as using whole wheat tortillas.
Then she tried making Roti Pizzas, with pizza sauce, cheese and herbs.
Roti noodle stir fry is also an interesting take on Roti.
She writes that her mother’s favorite way to eat roti is with ghee and jaggery.
