Forbes reports that MG Motors will launch Hector in India. It is a SUV for INR 17 lakhs upwards.

Hindustan Motors discontinued manufacturing Ambassador in 2014.
Peugot of Italy bought it for INR 80 crore.
Before Hindsutan Motors Morris Motors used to manufacture Ambassador as Morris Oxford, which was owned by MG Motors. First Morris Oxford came out in 1913.
The company exchanged hands, before Nanjing Automibile Group brought MG Motors in 2005. Later it merged with SAIC in 2008.
SAIC forayed into India with its subsidiary MG Motors. It has completed the full circle. MG Motors is in Gurgaon, Haryana.
