Sanjeev Kapoor ran India’s longest running cooking show (18 years), Khana Khazana. He is also owner of businesses such as Food Food, a food television channel. He is the owner of premium electric appliances, Wonderchef. He runs a chain of restaurants; Khana Khazana and Yellow Chilli. He is a best selling author and brand ambassador for brands such as Ariel. As per Economic Times his businesses generate INR 500cr per year.
Sanjeev Kapoor believes in slow and steady approach: Kapoor, for his part, sees little wrong in his steady approach. “I don’t call it slow. I call it sure,” he says, pointing out the thumb rule of entrepreneurship: top line can’t grow at the cost of bottom line. “I am very conservative in raising money and debt,” he says, dishing out another analogy: one has to slowly chew the food, and not swallow it.
Sanjeev suggests focusing on strength when starting food businesses.
