Tapi Food Products is the greenest food brand in India. It uses solar power for the machines in its manufacturing facility. Unlike urban centric businesses, it focusses on generating employment in rural areas.
Ghanshyam Lukhi set up Tapi Foods in 1999. Its first product was Papaya Tutty Fruity . In 2004 he set up a plant with the help of Khadi Village Industries Commission(KVIC’s Rural Employment Growth Programme of Central Govt.). It employs more than 45 people. Other than Tutty Fruity it also produces Jam, Jelly, Soft drink concentrate, Amla Murrrabba and Ginger Candy. They sell in Southern, Western and Central India. They also export to Gulf and USA.
It’s latest offering Imali Ball is a hit due to strong word of mouth. It can become an INR 100cr brand similar to Pulse from DS group.
